ANZAC TRAIL
Project Managed the Public Art Development and Installation of Dandenong’s ANZAC Trail.
The initiative honours the courage and contribution of residents during one of the most defining periods in Australia’s history. The City of Greater Dandenong has proud links to the First World War. These local WWI connections are being commemorated through a series of INTERACTIVE boards, launched as part of the city’s Anzac Trail project.
The nine trail signs were officially unveiled by the City of Greater Dandenong in 2015. The signs included a augmented reality solution. Trigged by the images on the structure, the viewer can use their mobile device to explore photographs, stories, and historical information, making the experience both educational and interactive. The data from the AR component confirms a high number of participants and level of engagement with the signs.
Together, these sites form a moving journey through local history—honouring the men and women who served, the families who supported them, and the community spirit that defined Dandenong during the Great War. The Anzac Trail ensures that their legacy continues to inspire future generations.
